Gen. Bajowa congratulates Jimoh Ibrahim over victory at the polls.

The Jagunmolu of Ikaleland and Ojagbulegun from the source, Prince ( Dr) Gen .Olu Bajowa, OFR, has congratulated Dr. Jimoh Folorunsho Ibrahim ,CFR on his emergence as the Senator elect for Ondo South Senatorial district.

It will be recalled that the All Progressives Congress, APC Senatorial Candidate for Ondo South, Dr Jimoh Ibrahim polled 110,665 votes on Saturday, February 25th, to beat his closest rival, Hon. Agboola Albert Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who polled 65, 784 votes as announced by the INEC returning officer, Prof. Johnson Fashimilehin.

In a congratulatory statement officially endorsed by Gen. Olu Bajowa, a copy of which was obtained by thepolity.net, Gen Bajowa noted that the election held on Saturday in Ondo South had been peaceful, calm and credible, devoid of violence, rancor or rowdiness, while the outcome has been acceptable to all key players vis a vis the electorate, the election body, and even the observers, commending INEC for living up to expectations.

The retired Army General said he is delighted at the positive outcome of the election results in Ondo Southern Senatorial District, in which Dr Jimoh Ibrahim was a notable contestant, a process which has propped him up as the Senator designate to represent the people of the entire Senatorial District in the upper chamber of the National Assembly.

Gen Bajowa noted that Jimoh Ibrahim’s victory at the polls was a testimony of the confidence our people and Nigeria at large have in his experience, competence, knowledge, capacity, intellect and integrity, to serve loyally and assiduously, as a Distinguished Senator, at the highest legislative authority of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Chairman of Awawa Media Communications Ltd said he shares Ibrahim’s concern and enthusiasm, in his resolve to make the provision of electricity in Ondo Southern Senatorial District a priority, stressing that connecting Ondo South to the national grid will be a milestone achievement that will make the Senator elect to etche his name in gold in Ikale Land, nay Ondo South for generations unborn to remember.

While praying that God should continue to protect the Senator elect and grant him the required good health, and robust vigor his new designation demands, Gen. Bajowa also added that God will endow him with the wisdom to discharge his legislative duty efficiently, and grant him a resounding and rewarding success, during his tenure.
