Gen. Bajowa congratulates Martins Oloja as he becomes MD/ Editor-in- Chief Guardian titles.

Gen. Olu Bajowa (RTD), Chairman, Awawa Communications Ltd , and Proprietor of Awawa 94.1 FM Radio Ayeka in Ondo South Senatorial District has congratulated Mr. Martins Oloja who was recently appointed as the Managing Director and Editor -in- Chief of The Guardian Newspaper.

The Jagunmolu of Ikaleland and Ojagbulegun from the source, while expressing his delight at the appointment of his Ikale kinsman, Oloja as the new helmsman of The Guardian titles , in a special release personally signed by him and made available to thepolity.net, described the new Editor-in- Chief as a journalist and a media guru deserving of the enviable elevation and position that has come his way. “Plenty of men can do good work for a spurt and with immediate promotion in mind but for promotion, you want a man in whom good work has become a habit, ” Gen. Bajowa noted.

While tracing his connection to The Guardian Newspaper, Gen Bajowa has this to say, “I reminisce with nostalgia as a former Director in the Ibru organization, after my retirement from the Nigerian Army , when the founder / Publisher of the Guardian Newspaper, Hon. Olorogun Alex Ibru, His Excellency Patrick Dele-Cole and myself toured the USA, scouting for equipment to establish the media house in the early 80s, which has now grown to be a world leading newspaper House.

” Little did I know that in my lifetime, my kinsman (an Ikale) would be the Managing Director and Editor -in- Chief of the prestigious and renowned organization,” Gen. Bajowa enthused.

Continuing, the retired Army General said, ” may I join all well wishers to congratulate you on your elevation to this enviable position in your chosen profession as an astute journalist and a media guru.

” Your potential to always do more in contributing your quota to our nation and humanity through the fourth estate of the realm has earned you this coveted seat,” Gen. Bajowa maintained.

While wishing Martins Oloja God’s continued guidance and protection with wisdom, knowledge and understanding to perform his new duties , Gen.Bajowa said the entire Ikale nation is extremely proud of him and will expect exemplary leadership from him as he holds fort as the MD and Editor-in-Chief of The Guardian Newspaper.

” Once again, Martins, accept my hearty congratulations; keep the flag flying, stay safe, stay healthy and remain blessed,” the statement by Gen. Olu Bajowa added.
