Governing Council appointment: Faduyile thanks Tinubu, Aiyedatiwa.

Professor of Pathology and Forensic Medicine, Prof.Dayo Faduyile,OON , the newly inaugurated Chairman of Governing Council, Federal College of Education, FCE Kotangora in Niger State, has expressed his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu, GCFR for his appointment. The Governing Council Chair, in a statement of profound appreciation, which he personally endorsed, a copy of which was obtained by thepolity.net, said he is humbled by President Bola Tinubu’s endorsement of his person for the appointment, which he described as a call to serve his fatherland in the education subsector, promising not to let down the President and the Executive Council on this calling.

The former President of Nigeria Medical Association ( NMA), equally expressed his appreciation to Ondo State Governor, His Excellency, Lucky Aiyedatiwa for giving his goodwill for his nomination. Prof. Faduyile, it will be recalled, was appointed as Special Adviser on Health to Ondo State Governor immediately after the completion of his ‘tour of duty’ as NMA President.

In the official statement, Prof Faduyile said he acknowledged the Honorable Minister of Education for the painstaking process which led to the appointment of himself and his colleague Council Chairmen and members, who are saddled with the all important responsibility and supervisory roles across the Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria.

He noted that he wouldn’t take for granted the administrative capacity reposed in him to serve at the head of the Council of one of the most notable Colleges of Education in Nigeria, stressing that he will bring his tenacity and cutting edge leadership experience to bear in his new role.

The Prince of Ikaleland and erudite scholar of repute said the policy of President Bola Tinubu in the education sector is clear, maintaining that he and other members of the Council will key into the policy of government towards building a virile Teacher education at the Colleges of Education towards strengthening the resolve of government to provide quality human resources in this respect.

It will be recalled that the Ondo State born Governing Council Chairman of FCE Kotangora, Prof Faduyile was unanimously appointed by Chairmen of Governing Councils of Federal Colleges Education in Nigeria as their Chairman after their inauguration in Abuja on Wednesday. He noted that all efforts will be put into helping students to leverage on quality Teacher education prospects in Nigeria.
