Governor Akeredolu congratulates Abodi of Ikale, as Oba George Faduyile marks coronation cum birthday anniversary in grandeur.

The Abodi of Ikale , paramount and distinguished ruler per excellence, Oba George Faduyile has been described as an outstanding Monarch , a charismatic and truly an aristocratic royalty by His Excellency , Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the executive governor of Ondo state.
The governor, who was represented at the grand finale of Oba Faduyile’s weeklong 20th coronation anniversary and 80th birthday celebration by his Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local government affairs, Chief Mrs. Lola Fagbemi, said it is noteworthy that Oba Faduyile’s reign has been marked by peace and record achievement in the land. The Governor who congratulated the royal celebrant charged his subjects to continue to cooperate with him so that the peaceful coexistence in the land can engender socioeconomic growth of the people of the town.
The Ikoya Government field venue of the event was filled to capacity as arrays of distinguished personalities from Ondo state and beyond were on ground to felicitate with the royal celebrant.
Earlier in his speech at the royal occasion, Chairman Ondo state council of Obas, and the Olukare of Ikare, Oba Akadiri Momoh congratulated Abodi of Ikale over the twain celebration which he described as an obvious indication of God’s love for the celebrant.
Oba Momoh said Oba Faduyile is a voice that is respected among his colleague royal fathers for his leadership role and forthrightness when complex issues crop up.
In his own remark at the event, Deji of Akure, HRM Oba Aladetoyinbo, Odundun ll, noted that Oba Faduyile has no doubt been on the receiving of God’s favour over the years, praying that God will satisfy the celebrant with long life and good health. He thanked the palace chiefs and Abodi’s subjects as he stressed that a town ‘s peace is a function of a royal father who has enjoyed the cooperation of the palace chiefs and the people of the town. He also saluted Olori Abodi , Mama Grace Faduyile for taking a very good care of the royal father.
Bar. Lebi Morayo , the host at the event appreciated the good people of Ikale for rallying round Abodi, noting that the cultural essence of the celebration cannot be overemphasised. Morayo said he is elated at the all round success of the weeklong programme, stressing that at anytime , he is for the cultural growth and advancement of Ikale land.
In her speech, the Chairman of Okitipupa Local government, Mrs Morenike Alaka maintained that Abodi is a pride of Ikale nation , noting that the people of this land will continue to be proud of him.
The celebrant , Abodi of Ikale Oba George Faduyile in his vote of thanks said he is genuinely grateful to God who has made him to witness the august occasion of his 80th birthday and 20th coronation anniversary in good health and peace of mind. He said though people have said his reign has been peaceful, which is true, it couldn’t have been possible without God’s support. He thanked dignitaries and well wishers who had come from other part of Ondo state and beyond. He also saluted the commitment of the planning committee who ensured the weeklong programme was hitch free and successful. Oba Faduyile called on the people of Ikale to live in peace among one another as the bedrock of all communal development is peaceful coexistence.
The royal event was serenaded by the duo of the Ikale rave highlife maestro , Omoba Demola Suzi and the Biripo folklore musician, Chief Omotola Emaye.
Major highlight of the event was the cutting of the royal birthday cake which was supervised by a daughter of Ikale soil and a princess of Idepe Kingdom, Oladuni Odu.
Meanwhile, Oba George Faduyile while speaking with the polity.com called on the people of the town and guests to rally round and ensure the completion of the new palace of Abodi which foundation had been laid. He equally harped on the basic challenge of Ikale communities , which is the absence of electricity , noting that beyond paying lip service , Ikale stakeholders should concertedly and genuinely seek an end to the electricity crisis in the land. Oba Faduyile appealed to community stakeholders to see to the all round development of the land.
Chief Mrs. Lillian Solanke, the CEO of Lilly Top event center and suits,a newly installed chief at Abodi’s palace also expressed her view in her chat with the polity.com at the event, thus: ” I am delighted to be here. I congratulate the Abodi and bless God for sustaining him thus far. His reign has been peaceful and as you can see he is an Oba who is a blend of intellect , royalty and culture”.
Prince Dokun Faduyile , the young entrepreneur who plies his trade in the Diaspora also in his chat with the polity.com said he is excited to be around to celebrate his father, a teacher of teachers, a disciplinarian father and a man he is proud of at all times. Dokun Faduyile however observed that the Nigerian political space requires a paradigm shift and the involvement of more technocrats than career politicians who will engender socioeconomic growth of the political space in the land.
The grand reception and entertainment of guests will remain talk of the town for long as there was enough delicacies for guests.
Among the dignitaries at the event were the following royal fathers who were ably represented : The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ojaja ll, Oba of Benin. omo’noba N’edo Ukuapkpolokpolo, The Osemawe of Ondo, Oba Victor Kiladejo, The Olukare of Ikale, Oba Akadiri Momoh,  The Olowa of Igbara Oke, Oba Francis Agbede, The Alakpa of Kiribo Oba Johnson Ajayi, The Odede of IgboEgunrin, Oba Philip Kalejaye, The Malokun of Atijere, Oba Samuel Edema, Oba Earnest Idepefo, the Majuwa of Moribodo; the Kalasuwe of Apoiland, the Oniju of Iju Odo and many other royal fathers.
Equally present at the event were Hon. Agboola Ajayi, Ondo state Deputy Governor, Princess Oladuni Odu, Bar. Lebi Morayo, Chief Thony Meduoye,  Asiwaju Benson Akindeju, Prof. Akindutire, Chief. Mrs .Lilian Solanke, Mrs . Morenike  Alaka, Chief Mrs . Lola Fagbemi and a host of others.
