Gratitude Visit to the Palace: Otunba (Dr.) Oluyemi Badero Reaffirms Commitment to Esure Kingdom’s Development
In a warm demonstration of loyalty, appreciation and commitment to community development, the newly installed Otunba Bobagunwa of Esure Kingdom, Otunba (Dr.) Oluyemi Badero, alongside his friends and associates, paid a courtesy and thank-you visit to the palace of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdulsamad Olalekan Kasali, the Obelu of Esure Kingdom, following the successful celebration of the monarch’s fifth coronation anniversary and the conferment of the prestigious chieftaincy title on him.
The visit provided an opportunity for Otunba Badero to express his profound gratitude to Kabiyesi for the honour bestowed upon him and to reaffirm his unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Esure Kingdom. He pledged to continue supporting meaningful projects and initiatives that will uplift the community whenever the need arises.
Speaking during the visit, Otunba Badero commended the monarch’s exceptional leadership, describing Oba Kasali’s reign as one marked by remarkable transformation, peace and purposeful development. He noted that since Kabiyesi ascended the throne five years ago, Esure Kingdom has witnessed rapid growth and renewed unity, making the kingdom a model of community-driven development.
Within just five years on the throne, His Imperial Majesty has demonstrated visionary, inclusive and result-oriented leadership. His achievements include the establishment of the Esure Community Development Council to coordinate developmental initiatives, the planning and fundraising for a modern Obelu Palace and Civic Centre, the promotion of small business enterprises through retail shop development, the strengthening of community security, and the creation of strategic partnerships with diaspora professionals to establish a modern urgent-care-style healthcare facility.
Kabiyesi has also continued to pursue collaborations with investors and corporate organisations aimed at stimulating economic growth and creating employment opportunities for the youths of Esure Kingdom.
Looking to the future, the monarch’s ambitious vision includes solar-powered street lighting, an independent solar electricity grid, a well-equipped community vigilante security network, scholarship schemes for indigent students, agricultural cooperatives, tourism development and the rehabilitation of educational infrastructure. These initiatives reflect thoughtful long-term planning and reinforce the belief that the brightest days of Esure Kingdom are still ahead.
Accompanying Otunba (Dr.) Oluyemi Badero on the appreciation visit were Dr. Akin Awofolaju, Mr. Tony Ibidapo, Mr. Olufela Badero, and Dr. Victor Adekunle, all of whom joined in celebrating the remarkable leadership and developmental strides of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abdulsamad Olalekan Kasali.
