IG vows to get Kogi robbers

The Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu has assured Nigerians that the Nigeria Police will get to the root of the robbery case at Isanlu in Kogi state.
Last week, a band of armed robbers had visited Isanlu and caused carnage and loss of lives in the serene Isanlu community. The robbers numbering ten first visited the Divisional Police station in the town where they opened fire on officers and men in the division, killing seven police men including the DPO. After they had caused this terrible fatality, they went ahead to release criminals in the detention. In a follow up to this dastardly act, the robbers moved to the first generation bank at Isanlu for a robbery that took them thirty minutes.
IG Muhammed Adamu speaking through the force spokesperson, Young Arabamen, said the entire investigative acumen of the Nigeria Police force will be deployed to arrest everyone who had involved in the bloody armed robbery.
In the course of the bank robbery, another police man and a civilian were shot and killed; the civilian died as a result of stray bullet hit. It was gathered that they spent almost an hour in the town, making indigines to scamper to safety while their robbery lasted.
