Ilaje people gets Ondo State Palliative as Hon. Fayemi leads distribution team.

The Ondo State Government palliatives for Ilaje Local government has been massively distributed on Tuesday, 19th September, 2023.
Ondo State Palliative Committee for Ilaje Local government headed by Hon.Wunmi Fayemi Obayelu, Chairperson House of Assembly Committee on Women Affairs and Vice Chair Committee on OSOPADEC was on ground alongside other members to supervise the even distribution of the palliatives . Among the commodities distributed were 1,200 bags of rice which was shared to all the wards in the council area covering the coastal communities.
The beneficiaries in their horde were seen wearing appreciative looks as they collected the palliative.
It was an orderly gathering as ward leaders ensured that the beneficiaries duely took the commodities meant to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal which Ondo State government had painstakingly arranged for them.
Hon.Wunmi Fayemi Obayelu while addressing Ilaje people said Ondo State Government is not ummindful of the hardship and challenges in the polity ,hence the distribution of the palliative. ” We have gathered here on the beheast of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and we bring you solidarity greetings from our ‘ talk and do’ Governor. It is important that we all understand that these palliatives are meant stricly for the vulnerable ones in Ilaje and we have put in place mechanism to ensure people who do not need it do not take advantage of the poor , who can make do with these commodities.
” The Governor who has given the go ahead for this distribution is not leaving things to chances as other measures are also in the offing to reduce the prevailing economic hardship in the land.
” We urge that our people continue to remain orderly even as we assure you all that this distribution is based on mapped out strategy to ensure that our vulnerrable ones significantly benefit from the largess,” Hon. Fayemi added.
Among the stakeholders and Ilaje leaders who witnessed the exercise were Hon. Nimbe Tawose, Hon. Mekuleyi, Hon. Gbenro Ogunfeyimi and others.
