Independence Special: Hon. Akinrogunde thanks Gov. Akeredolu for supporting People Living with Disabilities ( PLWD).

Hon. Akinrogunde Akintomide, Member representing Ondo State House of Assembly from Okitipupa Constituency 1 has appreciated Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for providing people living with disabilities (PLWD) in Ondo State empowerment opportunities and the right to add value to their society.

The Legislature in an interactive session on a radio Programme that was monitored by thepolity.net said Ondo State Governor has provided adequate window of opportunity for people living with disabilities to be actively involved in public engagement , stressing that stigmatization of People living with disabilities should be discouraged.

” It is high time members of the society stopped seeing people with disabilities as never do Wells who can not amount to anything in life. It is high time PLWDs are supported and provided with equal opportunity with others to excel in the society because having disabilities do not in anyway restrain chances of success and achievement,” Hon. Akinrogunde said.

The Okitipupa Constituency 1 Assembly man while highlighting his contribution to the people of his constituency noted that the records on ground to give credence to his input in the lives of the people of his constituency. ” We have offered empowerment programme and we will still continue to do so; in the recent time, I have had course to simplify the NIN registration by moving down the National Identity Card (NIMCY) agency to Osooro and the Solar water project at Osooro bears credence to the long list of my contribution to my people,” Hon. Akinrogunde stressed.
