Let us embrace love of Christ at Easter – Omoyele Olabode
As Christians across the globe celebrate the resurrection of Christ today, an Igbotako born business magnate and an All Progressives Congress , APC stalwart, Mr. Omoyele Olabode has congratulated Christian faithfuls, reiterating the need to embrace the love of Christ.
Omoyele Olabode in his Easter greetings to Nigerians saluted Christian faithfuls for the sacrifice of the 40 days fasting and prayer in commemoration of Christ’s struggle and herculean tasks while ensuring man’s eternal redemption.
He noted that there is no greater sacrifice than the one Jesus offered on the Cross of Calvary and the pains inflicted on Christ at Golgotha for the remission of our sins, adding that no human born of a woman could have endured the inhuman treatment meted out to Christ on Good Friday.
Omoyele said Christ’s death on the cross signifies the ultimate passion that one man can have for a world filled with filth and sin where man’s inhumanity to man is immeasurable but even in all of these challenges and pains, a divine father offered the sacrifice of his begotten child that we may live and have peace in abundance as well as a hope of an unfettered access to God in useful communion.
He noted that man is not grateful enough for the grace of salvation but Christ has bore all of our iniquities and this is more reason while the celebration of Christ’s resurrection calls for more sober reflection than the revelry and merry making.
Omoyele said the best way to show gratitude for God’s love for humanity as shown in the death of his son is for humans to love one another sincerely and do everything possible to foster peace in the society, stressing that Christ died to make peace between man and God , hence man should endeavour to encourage peace across the world.
” As we celebrate this Easter, let us consider the purpose for which Christ offered to die for man; he died to take our place so that we will not suffer permanent annihilation and total disconnect from God and for this reason we should use the opportunity of this celebration to trace our path back to God with sincerity of purpose,” Omoyele Olabode charged.
He also urged Christians to continue to pray for the success of the administration of both Gov.Lucky Aiyedatiwa and President Bola Tinubu, adding that even The Bible advises the people to pray fervently for their leaders.
