The Nigerian Bottling Company’s Supply Chain Academy has marked three decades of technical training and professional development, as the institution celebrated its 30th anniversary alongside its 28th graduation ceremony in Lagos on Friday, August 21, 2026.

The milestone event brought together management, graduands, alumni and other stakeholders at the company’s Ikeja facility, with activities spanning a graduation ceremony, a familiarisation tour of the academy and an evening anniversary celebration in Agidingbi.

The keynote address was delivered by Princess Damilola Sonayon James, who highlighted the academy’s contribution to developing local expertise and preparing professionals for the demands of the supply chain industry. Her address formed part of the ceremony recognising the latest set of graduates.

Established three decades ago, the academy has provided technical training aimed at strengthening the capabilities of operators and engineers within the supply chain environment. Its long-running training programme reflects the growing importance of specialised skills to manufacturing and industrial operations.

The anniversary also provided an opportunity to connect the academy’s past with its future, with the formal inauguration of a national alumni association. The platform is expected to provide a structured network for former graduates of the programme after completing their training.

Beyond the graduation activities, the anniversary programme included an inspection and familiarisation tour of the academy’s facilities, before concluding with a gala, dinner and alumni inauguration at the LTV 8 Eko FM Marquee in Agidingbi, Lagos.

The 30 years milestone therefore extends beyond a celebration of the academy’s history, placing renewed attention on technical education, professional capacity building and the development of skilled manpower for Nigeria’s industrial sector.
