It was a gathering of royalties , men and women of substance and distinguished Ikale stakeholders on the occasion of the birthday celebration of the Regent of Ayeka kingdom, Princess Barr. Oluyemi Bajowa.
The royal birthday with class started with a communion service on Wednesday morning , 16th March , 2022 at the palatial residence of the Jagunmolu of Ikaleland and Ojagbulegun from the source, the husband of the celebrant, Prince (Dr.) Gen. Joseph Oluyemi Bajowa.
At the special communion service held to mark the Regent’s birthday celebration, Lord Bishop, Diocese on The Coast, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Rt. Revd. Oluseyi Pirisola in his sermon congratulated the Amazon and woman of substance, Princess Oluyemi Bajowa for the grace of God upon her life.
The cleric noted that King David in Israel was raised for a purpose and at every point in the history of the human race , God always raises a special leader for his people.
Revd. Pirisola said the Regent of Ayeka was raised by God for her people and God has supported her reign as her time in Ayeka has put the town on a higher pedestal of reckoning. While congratulating Gen. Bajowa for his choice of ‘ Aya Lubokun’, the Lord Bishop , Diocese on The Coast stressed that Gen. Bajowa’s wife has a large heart and is always ready to provide assistance that will advance the cause of humanity.
At the colorful reception that followed within the premises of Gen. Bajowa’s Igbotako country home, it was a beehive of activities as the event turned royal with Ikale Royal Fathers taking their turn to felicitate their royalty colleague and Regent of Ayeka kingdom.
The Oniju of IJu – Odo, Oba Festus Olumoyegun who chatted with thepolity. net enthused that the Regent of Ayeka has arrived a new milestone in good health and it deserves blowing the trumpet to congratulate her. Oniju said he is delighted to identify with the royal household of the Bajowas , which has the Regent of Ayeka as a wife, the purpose for which there is the birthday celebration.
In his remark, the Jegun of Idepe -Okitipupa,Oba Michael Obatuga Adetoye , while congratulating Gen. Bajowa’s wife and regent of Ayeka said it was a thing of joy to gather with other eminent dignitaries to celebrate HRH Oluyemi Bajowa. The Royal Father prayed long life and prosperity for the celebrant.
Abodi of Ikale, Oba George Babatunde Faduyile who was also interviewed by thepolity.net at the event expressed the fact that the Regent of Ayeka is a lovable woman , her daughter , a titular Chieftaincy holder of Abodi and a crowned regent, first of its kind in Ikaleland .
While congratulating the celebrant , Abodi, Oba George Faduyle said Regent Oluyemi Bajowa has left indelible marks in the record of Ayeka kingdom and she has continued to affirm in her stride the saying, ” what a man can do, a woman can do better.
The Rebuja of Osooro, Oba Gbadebo Bajowa, who in a manner of speaking, said Regent of Ayeka , is her wife , and a good mother to all the children God has released for her , added that no matter the challenge you take to this Ayeka Regent, she solves it just like someone who has the magic wand. ” On behalf of the entire good people of Igbotako, I congratulate the Regent of Ayeka today as she celebrates her birthday and she will be alive to celebrate more years in good health , ” Rebuja added.
While responding to all the royal felicitations , The Regent of Ayeka, Princess Oluyemi Bajowa said the honour done her is quite much, noting that the accolades she has gotten so far will propel her to want to do more towards propelling the emancipation of women in the society and the development of the society at large.
The event specially featured the cutting of the birthday cake among others.
Earlier in his speech, Gen. Olu Bajowa, the celebrant’s better half said he has over the years enjoyed the support and love of his wife, The Regent , whom he described as a godsend and a God fearing woman who has led an exemplary life both in the private sector where she sits atop giant business conglomerates and in the palace where she functions as The Regent of her people of Ayeka kingdom.
The event also featured a closed door session where Ikale Royal Fathers prayed for long life and good health for the celebrant.
