Ondo female Regent, Oluyemi Bajowa inaugurates Lumure Hunters Association, gets Gov. Akeredolu’s commendation.

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu has commended the giant strides and efforts of the Regent of Ayeka kingdom, Princess Barr. Oluyemi Bajowa for striving to bring rapid development and transformation to her domain, urging other Ondo South communities to take a cue from Princess Oluyemi Bajowa’s steadfast commitment to Community development.
Gov. Akeredolu gave this indication yesterday, Saturday, 21st August at the palace of the Lumure of Ayeka during the inauguration of Lumure Hunters Association (LHA). The Ondo State Chief Executive was represented by the Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government Council, Hon. Igbekele Akinrinwa.
The Governor said the Regent of Ayeka has shown passion for the security of the town as the association will work hand in hand with other security agencies to rid the town of any traces of security threat. While thanking Princess Bajowa for exhibiting a high level of security consciousness through her pet project, the Lumure Hunters Association, Gov. Akeredolu charged members of the association to operate strictly within the ambience of the law and the modus operandi establishing the association.
Earlier in her speech at the inauguration of the hunters association and fund raising for the outfit, the Regent of Ayeka, Princess Oluyemi Bajowa appreciated all the guests who had come to witness the inauguration.
While tracing the history of the Lumure clan, Princess Oluyemi Bajowa noted that the progenitor of the kingdom, Prince Parigha Lumure was a hunter and warrior.
“Historically, Prince Parigha Lumure and Abodi Jabado left their ancestral father, Oba Esigie of Benin Kingdom, who reigned between 1504 and 1550, to find Ikaleland. Prince Parigha Lumure was a hunter and a warrior , who with Abodi Jabado, migrated from Benin in about 1520 to Akotogbo to settle at Irele , before crossing Oluwa River to settle and establish Ayeka kingdom.
” The Lumure dynasty and his descendants were hunters and warriors who were the Vanguard forces , assisted by Ogundugbuja, the first Jegun of Idepe to fight the boundary war ‘ Ogun Udoko’ between Ikale forces and the Ondo people, ” Regent Bajowa enthused.
She further noted, “the Lumure descendants have resolved to keep the legacy of their forefathers alive , who are hunters and warriors, hence the rebirth and launching of the Lumure Hunters Association, for which we now seek financial assistance from all and sundry for the procurement of equipment for their operations and administration.”
Princess Oluyemi Bajowa conveyed greetings from her husband, Prince Dr. (Gen) Olu Bajowa, OFR, the Jagunmolu of Ikaleland and Ojagbulegun from the source , an illustrious son of Lumure who was unavoidably absent owing to his recent journey abroad. “Given the premium we placed on security , my husband , Gen. Olu Bajowa and I set up a Grade A Security firm ‘ Flomax Security Limited. This is part of investments in the security industry to meet the security needs of the Society. Our operations cover the 36 states of the federation while our base is currently Lagos and Abuja. We are however planning to bring an expansive operational base to Ondo State and in particular to Ikaleland and its environ,” Regent of Ayeka added.
The first female Regent in Ikaleland emphasized the fact that security of lives and property is the responsibility of everyone within a given society. ” We take it upon ourselves to work with the governnment to secure our domain, Ayeka kingdom,” Princess Bajowa said.
Secretary to Ondo State Government , Princess Oladunni Odu was ably represented at the event by Mrs. Olajobi and members of the formidable ‘ Iwajowa Group.’
In his speech at the event, Member , Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ololade Gbegudu saluted the commitment of the Regent of Ayeka, describing her as a strong grassroots developer. Gbegudu supported the hunters association with two hundred thousand naira donation.
The Divisional Police Officer , (DPO) Okitipupa, CSP Mustapha Akeem congratulated the hunters whose association has been registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission. He said their role is to complement the operations of other sister security agencies in the community.
The Rebuja of Osooro, Oba Gbadebo Bajowa in his remark at the event said given that Ayeka is a university environment, there cannot be a better time to inaugurate the hunters association and for them to be provided with logistic vehicle, considering the current security challenge in the area. While addressing the hunters in particular, Oba Gbadebo Bajowa said, ” you have been recruited into this association based on the confidence reposed in you by the entire Ayeka community. For this reason you must strive that this good gesture is reciprocated. Your records must be unblemished and you must always act within the professional and ethical demand of your calling as Lumure Hunters.”
The Abodi of Ikaleland , Oba George Babatunde Faduyile who attended the event in company with his amiable wife, Olori Grace Faduyile, congratulated the Regent of Ayeka,
Princess Bajowa for the success of the inauguration exercise. He said the concern for a secure neighborhood as being championed by Regent Bajowa deserves the applause and support of every member of the community.
The Chief Launcher , Gen. Olu Bajowa who was represented by High Chief Ojajune Oluwole, the Oyetoyo of Osooro described the establishment of Lumure Hunters Association as timely. Gen. Bajowa donated a whooping one million naira at the event and he was supported by a business mogul, Chief Emeka Okonkwo ( E – Money). Okonkwo advised the hunters to live up to the peoples expectation.
Other distinguished Royal fathers who spoke at the event were the Majuwa of Moribodo Kingdom, Oba Earnest Idepefo and Obagberume of Igbodigo His Royal Highness, Oba Ebun Ayeku. They congratulated the people of Ayeka for the lofty achievement the town has recorded in recent time.
Major highlight of the event was the donation of some working tools to the police in Okitipupa Division by the Regent of Ayeka, Princess. Barr. Oluyemi Bajowa.
Speaking with thepolity.net on the fringe of the inauguration ceremony, the Regent of Ayeka said the Lumure Hunters will be provided with all the necessary wherewithal to enhance the effectiveness of their operations.
