Ondo State Government Palliative distributed in Okitipupa.

The second tranche of Palliative by Ondo State Government to assuage the effect of pump price increase across Nigeria has been distributed in Okitipupa Local government.
The massive distribution took place on Wednesday morning as the items of the palliative , mostly staple food items in bags , were moved from the Army Barracks in Okitipupa for onward distribution across the wards making up Okitipupa Local Government, including both Constituencies I and II.
The Head of the Distribution team to Okitipupa, Prof. Dayo Faduyile, OON, Special Adviser on Health, Ondo State, while having an exclusive chat with thepolity.net said the commodities were received not quite two weeks back and as it coincided with the Yuletide the Distribution was effected in timely fashion, stressing that adequate feasibility has been done before the Distribution to ensure that the food items got to the poor of the poor, who are government target for the palliative program.
Asked further to shed light on how his committee has mapped out the schedule of the Distribution, Prof. Faduyile noted that his committee had been to the villages and the different communities and members of each community had been grouped as the items ate channeled through the wards which is the easiest means of reaching out to everyone one across the community even as he added that there are different groups such as the artisans and others who will benefit from the palliative across the Local Government.
While debunking the insinuation that the palliative is strictly benefitted by party members, The Special Adviser said ,” the distribution of the palliative does not have any party coloration as it is meant for the poor of the poor and those are the ones who had benefitted from the first disbursement of the palliative and it is these same poor of the society that are yet benefitting from the exercise. “
