Osedele gives APC strong pass mark, says Faduyile’s victory is a done deal

By Steve Ovirih.

The Pioneer Secretary of All Progressives Congress, APC in Okitipupa Local Government and former Deputy Chairman of the Party in the Local Government Area, Hon. Gbenga Osedele has said the All Progressives Congress, APC has acquitted itself well as a party in Nigeria and in Ondo State, while in the same breath giving the ruling party a strong pass mark in the area of good governance and fostering social justice in Nigeria.

Osedele gave this indication while being hosted on a radio programme tagged ‘Midas Touch,’ on Tuesday. He said APC came into power in 2015 under the leadership of the former President, Late Muhammadu Buhari and the party met a lot of challenges particularly as the out gone government of that time, PDP had messed up the economy of Nigeria. He maintained that fixing Nigeria back to its strong economic status started under President Buhari and the government of President Bola Tinubu has maintained this speed which is focused on improving the nation’s economy. He added that this doesn’t mean there are no challenges as there is no administration that can claim perfection but the party is gradually moving from grass to grace as the government has blocked loopholes used in the past time to siphon the economy. “Our party has done well in the area of infrastructural development of Nigeria, in the area of reviving the economy by introducing economic policies which though can actually hurt the people now but has a lot of economic advantage in the future and the party is doing well as it is allowing democracy to blossom.

“The party has encouraged higher education by offering loan to indigent students and it is an education loan that has all the features of bringing alive the hope of those who wound have dropped out of school.

“Well critics may finger insecurity as a challenge but you will agree with me that government is not resting on its oars and insecurity is a global phenomenon. Our Party, APC is trying to ensure that Nigeria is safe and routing out the elements causing insecurity is an interagency thing and government is on top of its game on this challenge ” Osedele assured.

Osedele boasted that Ondo State is fairing very well under the APC led government of Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa and indices of economic development cuts across the state. He said under the Governance of Late Gov. Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, APC did well with visible projects, establishment of the safety and security network, Amotekun Corps, ensuring road network safety at Ore by approving the Ore Redemption Bridge and providing all logistics to ensure the completion of the Ore fly over which ended the recurring cases of accident along the Ore road and so many more.

” And when the then Deputy Governor came to power as incumbent Governor, the good work of a state under a progressive party structure has continued unabated.

“Just yesterday, Alhaji Aliko Dangote was in Ondo State on a business discussion to revive the Olokola Deep Sea Project. When journalists sought the reaction of Alhaji Dangote, he said he was encouraged to return to Ondo State because Gov. Aiyedatiwa is accommodating business wise and the Olokola project is a business talk that can only be sustained by a progressive minded Governor,’ Osedele enthused.

On the candidacy of Prof. Dayo Faduyile , OON, who is vying in the June 20th Ondo South Senatorial by-election under the flagship of APC, Osedele said his victory is a done deal, noting that his intimidating academic credentials, his political antecedent and his progressive politics stand him out among the other contestants who are coming from nearly relatively unknown political parties with almost non existing structure in Ondo South and Ondo State in general.

“Our party did not make mistake about our choice of candidate for the Senate. The out gone Senator who is now an Ambassador to the UN,Amb.Jimoh Ibrahim , is a Doctor and has high flying doctorate degrees across discipline. Now to complete his term in the 10th Senate, we are presenting a Professor of Pathology and Forensic Medicine, a medical Administrator who once led Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, as their national President, a former Special Adviser on Health to Ondo State Government and a progressive member of the ruling party who never blended his political clout by being out of our party at any time in the past. He is a known figure in Ikaleland and he is a Prince from the palace of the Abodi of Ikale land; so what are we saying? APC is the party to look out for on Saturday and Prof.Faduyile, the APC candidate is the only trusted candidate with candour who will deliver the goods on behalf of Ondo South in the Senate,Osedele Gbenga maintained.
