Queen (Prophetess) Naomi Silekunola , the estranged wife of the incumbent Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty ,Oba Eniitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, who announced the breakdown of her matrimony on her Instagram page few days to Christmas, may be on her way back to her husband, the foremost Ife monarch and Arole Odua.
According to feelers, if the peace talks championed by The Deji of Akure and Chairman Ondo State Council of Obas , Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo is anything to go by, the marital hiccups may probably be over already .
It will be recalled that on her Instagram page on December 23rd, 2021, Olori Naomi Ogunwusi had announced the severing of marriage ties with the monarch describing him as a personality whose private image conflicts with his huge Messiah public image . She said she endured and strived to make things work in the past three years but reverse has been the case, hence her resolve to put the marriage asunder.
In a diplomatic move to salvage the three year old Royal marriage, Oba Aladetoyinbo reached out to the family of Prophetess Naomi in Akure over the week and using the instrument of Royal persuasion made the Queen and her mother to come to a roundtable where an understanding was reached for the Queen to sheathe her sword and allow peace to reign once again in her marriage.
The Spokesperson to the palace of The Deji of Akure intimated the press about the efforts of Oba Aladetoyinbo who has not just reached out to Queen Naomi and her mother but has also travelled to Ile Ife to confer with the Ooni on the best way to stem the tide of the marital crisis that has blown over in the palace .
While Ooni Ogunwusi has not made any official public statement on the matter since Queen Naomi’s decision to call it quits with the marriage became public knowledge, it can be inferred that the Royal Father did not betray any sentiment on the matter , a positive sign that Queen Naomi will be welcomed back to the palace if she repented and made up with her darling husband.
It was revealed that Ooni of Ife’s mother -in-law has simmered down and has shown a very convincing sign of making up and allowing her daughter, Queen Naomi to take the necessary steps towards resolving issues with the Arole Odua, Ooni Enitan Ogunwusi.
