The Regent of Ayeka Kingdom , HRH, Princess Barr. Oluyemi Bajowa , who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Awawa 94.1 FM Ayeka, has appealed to the good people of Ondo State to shun violence as they go to elect the next Governor of Ondo State on Saturday, 16th November, 2024.

In a special appeal statement on Ondo Governorship election personally endorsed by The Regent and obtained by thepolity. net , she noted that politicians and voters alike should endeavor to put Ondo State first and should allow their love for Ondo state take priority in their plans for the election day.

The Regent noted, ” election is a channel through which participatory democracy is sustained in Nigeria and Ondo state has an off cycle election on Saturday. It behoves us the good people of Ondo State to allow the electioneering process to hold under the ambience of peace and tranquility. Voters should not be intimidated under whatever circumstances and the process should not be allowed to be tainted by violence or rousing of temper.

“I want to plead specially with my people in Ondo South that we should allow peace before, during and after the election.The Southern Senatorial District is no doubt the beautiful bride in this election, so we should hold the candle to other Senatorial district by making peace to be our watchword at the poll on Saturday.

” We do not have another state to call our own other than This Sunshine State that is ours so political stakeholders should not rouse the tension , rather the election should be done in a way that Ondo state will become a unique election recommendation for other states.”

She encouraged voters to go out in their large numbers on Saturday to vote for their candidate of choice while making sure that unnecessary arguments that could raise temper are avoided at the polling units.

The wife of the Jagunmolu of Ikaleland, Gen.Olu Bajowa, stressed the need for voters not to allow prejudice or monetary influence to influence their voting role on election day, maintaining that participatory democracy is entrenched when the civic obligation of voters is executed without bias.
