Ilaje Council of Obas Commends Governor Aiyedatiwa for Unprecedented Support and Presentation of 2025 Toyota Fortuner SUVs

IGBOKODA, ONDO STATE – November 2, 2025

The Council of First-Class Traditional Rulers in Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State has expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his exceptional demonstration of support to the traditional institution through the presentation of brand-new 2025 Toyota Fortuner SUVs to Ilaje Royal Fathers.

Speaking on behalf of the Council, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Olusegun Williams Akinyomi (Arole Alagwe), the Paramount Ruler and Amapetu of Mahinland, described the Governor’s gesture as “a monumental expression of goodwill, honour, and administrative foresight” that reflects the premium the present administration places on the dignity and welfare of traditional rulers across Ondo State.

> “We are profoundly grateful to His Excellency, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for this exceptional show of commitment to our welfare and to the sanctity of our revered stools,” Oba Akinyomi stated. “This gesture goes beyond the provision of vehicles; it is a symbolic reinforcement of the age-long bond between government and the traditional institution, and an affirmation of our relevance as custodians of culture and agents of peace and cohesion at the grassroots.”

The Ilaje Royal Fathers further noted that the provision of the new SUVs will greatly enhance their mobility and efficiency, especially across the difficult coastal terrain of Ilajeland. They emphasized that the gesture will strengthen their capacity to respond swiftly to community concerns and contribute meaningfully to the sustenance of peace, order, and security in the area.

The Council also commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his inclusive, visionary, and people-centred approach to governance, describing the administration as one that recognizes the indispensable role of traditional institutions in the maintenance of societal harmony and in the effective implementation of state policies.

In reaffirming their solidarity, the Ilaje First-Class Obas pledged their unwavering loyalty and support to the Governor and his administration’s developmental agenda. They urged the good people of Ilajeland and Ondo State at large to continue to support the Governor as he works tirelessly to consolidate peace, unity, and prosperity across the Sunshine State.

Signed:
