Rumours of Akeredolu’s death baseless, ignore it, – Ondo State Government says.

– Steve Ovirih.

The Government of Ondo State has advised the good people of the state and all concerned persons not to mind the rumour mills and their new pastime of wishing death upon the Ondo state Chief Executive, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON.

The statement from the state government noted that it was observed that some band of evil nurturing fifth columnists, whose new found love is to invest their time on wishing others sudden death, have gone public with a morbid desire to hear of Governor Akeredolu’s death, stressing that having found out that their evil plot has failed, they have chosen to sustain their plot by going all out to spread rumors of the Governor’s demise , a most despicable lie that all people of good conscience must roundly condemn.

“We have been inundated with calls and messages concerning the state of health of Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON. We had chosen to ignore this wicked fabrication until it appeared that certain persons seek to draw political milage from the disinformation,” the statement said, adding that if at all the Governor was sick, which is a normal phenomenon for all human, it reeks of evil plot to create a make belief narrative to the effect that because someone was sick, he is dead. ” Though the Governor has been indisposed, he has been attending to to state matters and delegating functions to functionaries of government when necessary.

” We enjoin members of the public to ignore the rumor; Aketi is much alive,” stated the release from Ondo State Government.

In the same vein, Senator- elect from Ondo South Senatorial district and Billionaire business mogul, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR has described those wishing Governor Akeredolu death as wicked and ungodly people, noting that Governor Akeredolu is human and not a robot who cannot fall sick.

In a press release made available to newsmen, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim said it is wickedness for anyone to wish a fellow human death as no one has control over his breath except God in whose hands all humans life are held, thus assuming a person who is merely sick has died is making effort by such wicked rumor mongers to play God, describing such inhuman opinion as concept that can only emanate from the trajectory of evil plotters.

Dr. Ibrahim noted that it beggars belief that some people can sit down in the dark corners of their home and hatch such a despicable ploy of announcing on the social media the death of Ondo State Governor who is in his residence at Ibadan, recuperating, relaxing and watching the FA league.
