Schools May reopen soon – FG

Barring all unforseen circumstances, gradual reopening of schools in Nigeria may beging from July 13th , 2020.
This indication was given by the secretary to the government of the federation and the Chairman COVID 19 Presidential Task Force, Mr. Boss Mustapha. He gave this remarks on the Wednesday briefing of the Covid 19 Presidential Task Force in Abuja.
While speaking with the media on the new approach of the Federal Government on the gradual easing of the lockdown, Boss Mustapha said it wasn’t among the measures released on Monday but after further examination of the exigencies of the moment, decision was reached for students in the final certificate class of secondary schools ( senior secondary School 3) and those in the final class of Primary school, Pry 6 to resume school effective from July 13th so that they can write their certificate examinations.
The Presidential Task Force says it has reached out to schooling facilities across the country to come up with their approach to ensuring safety protocols which they shall all fine tune at the appropriate time before schools can eventually reopen for teaching and learning in Nigeria.
