Senator Faduyile marks election victory Thanksgiving as Aiyedatiwa expresses confidence in his competence

St.Joseph Catholic Church Ikoya was filled to capacity on Sunday, September 13th as dignitaries from all walks of life gathered in thanksgiving to God for Distinguished Senator Prof.Francis Adedayo Faduyile,OON, over his election victory as the Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District in the 10th Senate.

It will be recalled that Prof.Faduyile having won the Ondo South APC Primary went on to win the June 20th Senatorial by-election and has since resumed in The Senate.

In his sermon at the Thanksgiving service, Rev’d Father Stephen Omokoga, who represented Lord Bishop Catholic Diocese of Ondo, The Most Revd Jude Ayodeji Arogundade, while quoting from The Book of Ecclesiastes Chapter 27 noted that the Bible passage addresses politicians and their attitude after election even as he stressed that God is very particular about forgiveness hence the charge for Christians to imbibe forgiveness and to be quick to forgive others. “When election holds politicians know those who voted for them and those who voted against them but the Bible in The Book of Ecclesiastes is saying we should not take vengeance against anyone.

” Today Senator Faduyile has come to show thanksgiving to God because he understands there is virtue in showing gratitude.As a church, we recommend to him the need to bring development to Ondo South yet we are confident that based on his Medical Administration antecedent he will make the district proud,” Father Omokoga enthused. He further charged politicians to always ask themselves what can they do for the people and not always what the people can do for them.

The special thanksgiving service featured Bible reading by Senator Faduyile and his mother, Olori Grace Olabode Faduyile, a communion session and thanksgiving dance to God by the Celebrant, his family and invited guests.

In his address to the congregation, Senator Faduyile said he has every reason to celebrate, noting that his ward Ikoya/Igbisin Oloto after several years of effort to have someone step up for an elected office, God has compensated the ward with his Senate ticket. “I am grateful to God for the story so far about my political trajectory. My special thanks goes to Ondo State Governor, HIs Excellency, Lucky Aiyedatiwa whose support for me I can’t quantify.”

Senator Faduyile said he appreciated his Predecessor, Senator Amb.Jimoh Ibrahim whose advice came in handy when it was needed, adding that Ondo South Royal Fathers see him as a son and they pulled their weight and support behind him.

On the Road rehabilitation and construction works in the district, Senator Faduyile noted, “We thank Gov.Aiyedatiwa for rising to the occasion on the need for prompt response particularly on the Ore/Okitipupa road which was an issue. I can tell you that in the course of Senate oversight activities and inspection of road construction projects, I met with the Honorable Minister of Works, who gave the assurance that the road rehabilitation and construction challenge in our district will be looked into.”

Hon. Babatunde Kolawole, APC Chairman Ondo State in his goodwill remark described Senator Faduyile as a round peg in a round hole, stressing that having led National NMA and Lagos NMA, he stands best prepared to lead the interest of Ondo South in the National Assembly. “Rest assured Senator Faduyile that Gov.Aiyedatiwa is very confident about your capacity and competence to perform and that is the good will message from Ondo State Governor. On behalf of Ondo State APC, I congratulate you and I am sure God will give you the enablement to perform,” Babatunde Kolawole maintained. He also emphasized the zero tolerance of Gov.Aiyedtiwa for anti party activities while stressing that the Governor has declared Ondo State as pro Bola Tinubu with the assurance of total and massive engagement for the President’s victory in his forthcoming second term bid.

Speaking with newsmen on the fringe of the event, Chief of Staff to Ondo State Governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa said the people of Ondo South reposed a lot of trust in the Senate ⁰mandate of Senator Faduyile and the conviction is that the district is in good hands with the Senator. “I want to appeal to The Ondo South Senator to work hand in hand with Gov. Aiyedatiwa and like the Party Chairman,Hon. Kolawole just said Gov.Aiyedatiwa has a huge confidence in the personality of the Ondo South Senator, Distinguished Senator Prof.Dayo Faduyile,” Omojuwa maintained.

At the reception which held at The Government Field, Ikoya, Ikale born rave maestro Demola Suzzy was on ground to serenade the event.
