Strange fire guts part of Oba Akiolu’s Palace.

A substantial part of the palace of the Eleko of Eko, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rilwan Akiolu has been gutted by fire. The Iga Idunganran Palace of Oba Akiolu, particularly the Kabiesi’s room where the fire started from was razed by the inferno, which according to eyewitness started from the air conditioner in the room

The fire started around 1.0 clock pm. Attention was drawn to the incident by the bellowing fire which had already claimed the king’s personal room alongside some of his personal effects.
While the area was condoned off, members of the fire Brigade were on ground to put out the fire which had claimed part of the he building.

The fire outbreak is coming on the heels of a spat between the Eleko of Eko, Oba Akiolu and the The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja two.
