Questions surrounding the final hours of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba have resurfaced days before her burial, following claims by her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, about where she allegedly died. Onadeko told the Celestial Reality Check investigative unit on Saturday that he was informed around midnight that the actress had died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The prophet, who is the Shepherd-in-Charge of CCC Onibuore Cathedral in Bogije, Ibeju-Lekki, said he did not know the specific police station involved. He told the interviewer that, after receiving the information, he reported himself at a nearby police station, but did not provide details that independently establish the circumstances of Osoba’s death.

His account comes amid competing claims and speculation about what happened to the actress. Osoba had previously spoken publicly about her battle with breast cancer, including undergoing surgery, while social media reports had also linked her death to allegations of maltreatment and poisoning.

Onadeko rejected those accounts, insisting that cancer was not responsible for her death. He also dismissed allegations that Osoba had been poisoned or subjected to physical punishment before she died, while maintaining that he had no access to money reportedly donated for her medical treatment.

The prophet further disputed claims concerning Osoba’s movement and personal affairs before her death. He said she had driven herself to Iperu on an earlier occasion and maintained that she was not prevented from using her car. He also said she had left his church about three weeks before her death.

Onadeko said Osoba had gone to see a woman identified as Kehinde Osoba shortly before the reported death, accompanied by a hairdresser with whom she had been staying. He said they remained in communication during the period and that he later received the midnight call informing him that she had died.

Osoba is scheduled to be buried on Thursday, August 13, in Iperu Remo, Ogun State. However, the claims made by her fiancé have not been independently verified, and they do not by themselves establish the exact location, circumstances or medical cause of her death. Until those questions are clarified by the appropriate authorities and credible evidence, the circumstances surrounding the actress’s final hours remain unresolved.
