You can’t discredit Akeredolu with toxic waste deaths narrative – Alex Ajipe.

– Awotula Temidayo.

The Chairman, Ondo Industrial Hub, Chief Alex Ajipe has described as ill mannered politicking the planted story in the Dailies that the Ondo /Linyi Industrial Hub was responsible for the toxic waste deaths which happened at Omotoso earlier in the week. ” Evil minded politicians who are playing politics with bile and malice aforethought are behind the allegation that the toxic waste that killed three people at Omotoso was from Wewood Ltd, a subsidiary of the Ondo/Linyi Hub.

” The grand plan is to smear Governor Akeredolu and his government as the October 10th Governorship election approaches.

” The story could have emanated only from enemies of progress whose hidden agenda is to use the unfortunate occurrence to discredit the laudable image of the State Governor whose candidacy is a threat to their political career,” Chief Ajipe said.

He noted that the ugly allegation which was peddled in bad taste will not discourage Wewood Ltd from contributing positively towards the growth of the Ondo state economy.

Three persons from Okitipupa Local Government Area were discovered dead in Omotoso forest where they had allegedly gone to fell trees . They were said to have inhaled toxic waste which was deposited in the forest. The deceased : Ododolewa Adebowale, Samuel Louis and Akinmusire Monday were found a day after they had died in the forest.
