The former Secretary to Ondo State Government and Idepe- Okitipupa born Princess Barr. Catherine Oladunni Odu has rejoiced with Nigerians on the cross over to the brand new year 2026. Princess Odu in her congratulatory statement to Nigerians described the out gone year 2025 as a year that tasked the resilience of the average Nigerian. She advised Nigerians to be nearer to God in the new year and to be more supportive of Government by keying into government policies, adding that President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is geared towards bringing succour to the masses.

She called on those who hardly see anything good in what the ruling party is bringing to the table as dynamics to cause a turn around in the economic fortune to let go of their prejudices and be bold enough to acknowledge the good works of the President Tinubu led Federal Government.

The former SUBEB Chairperson noted that it is not for fun or mere political jamboree or excitement that State Governors in the opposition across Nigeria are crossing over to the ruling All Progressives Congress, stressing that they saw the good in President Tinubu and his positive strides hence their coming to join the party.

On the forthcoming one off election in Ondo South as regards the would -soon- be declared- vacant Senatorial seat , Princess Odu called on the good people of Ondo South to buy into her Senatorial aspiration, adding that the people of the District should be magnanimous enough to give women the chance of fair representation . “A successful male politician has held the office of Ondo South Senator and all who had been Senator from Ondo South before now had been males. It is time for our women to be offered a fair playing field in our politics. It is high time the affirmative action is given a new lease of life beyond a mere paper policy,” Princess Odu charged.

While wishing all a prosperous new year, she called on the people of Ondo South to continue to support the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
