Regent of Irele pays Ayeka Regent courtesy visit.

It was an interface of royalties on Sunday, the 25th July as the Regent of Ayeka kingdom, Princess Barr. Oluyemi Bajowa played host to the Regent of Irele, HRH Olarewaju Ayeromara.
The Irele Regent, whose emergence enjoyed the backing and recognition of the Local Government authority, visited the palace of Lumure in company with his High Chiefs from Irele .
The visit had all the rich trappings of Ayeka tradition , culture and customs as the Liha of Ayeka kingdom, Prince Babatunde Michael Ayeyowa opened the floor by pouring libations to the Ayeka kingdom ancestry “Eghares” in a mix of chanted lyrics and folksongs of Ode Ayeka.
Acting as the spokesperson of the palace , Prince Babatunde Ayeyowa traced the historical connectivity between Ayeka and Irele noting that occupiers of the stool of Lumure had in the time past enjoyed warm relationship with the previous ‘Olofuns’ who held sway at Irele kingdom.
Regent Olarewaju Ayeromara in his remark thanked the Regent of Ayeka, Princess Oluyemi Bajowa for her support and good wishes for him at all times. He said he appreciated the words of prayers and ‘prophesy’ which the amazon and Regent of Ayeka handed down to him in the build up to his bid to assume the stool of his forefathers as Irele Regent.
While giving her response, the Regent of Ayeka, Princess Oluyemi Bajowa thanked her Regent counterpart from Irele for the thoughtful visit, adding that the Kingdom of Ayeka feel delighted that the Irele Regent’s first official visit was to Ayeka kingdom. She promised to continue to sustain the warm mutual relationship that existed between the two palaces in the time past. ” I am happy to host you Kabiesi and I am delighted you have come to share the joy of assuming the Regency of Irele with us here in Ayeka. History has recorded good working relationship between this palace and the stool of Olofun. I want to assure you and all the good people of Irele that this good working relationship will be sustained,” regent Oluyemi Bajowa maintained. She equally advised the Regent to rule his people with the fear of God and carry all his subjects along in his regency.
Traditional prayers were offered with the breaking of cola while good wishes for both the Kingdoms of Ayeka and Irele were expressed as the traditional prayer offers were sealed with the serving of Gin among the High Chiefs.
Among the dignitaries at the event were Prince Babatunde Ayeyowa, the Liha of Ayeka, Chief Oluwole Akinbo, the Luhare of Irele,Major Busayo, High Chief Banjo Ayelomi, Prince Faniyi, High Chief Adeule Kolawole, High Chief Clement Ayejuyone and others.
