A daughter of the soil of Igbotako, who is doing fine for herself in The Diaspora, Princess Rosanah Omogbehin Olowu has supported the annual ‘ Utako Day’ celebration of 2023 with five hundred thousand Naira, while her friends and well wishers who accompanied her also made further donations on her behalf.

The event which held on Tuesday, Dec 26th had sons and daughters of Igbotako both at home and in far distant places gathered to celebrate their community and deliberate on how to further enhance development in the town.

The donor while having an exclusive chat with thepolity.net after her presentation noted with delight that Igbotako has greatly improved, while noting that there is room for further improvement in the area of basic facilities. She called on sons and daughters of Igbotako who have been blessed by God to reach out in a mutual collaboration to enhance the all round development of the community, which she says yearns for more growth.

She said she was happy to be at the event as she feels a sense of strong reminisce of her early days, growing up as a young girl in Igbotako.

“My school days was fun here; most of the rivers in this town, I have swam in them. You know, popular River Gbaagbaa was our swimming sport in those good old days and I cut my teeth as a real good swimmer in that river.

” As a young girl, I had walked in most of the forests and bushes around here having very good adventures ,” She said.

She admitted that some real good structures have replaced the old ones in Igbotako and it is worthy of note that the community now boasts of a University, a private university of global standard . All these, she noted are indicators of a community regularly developing.

Princess Omogbehin Olowu advised young girls growing up in the town to be focused and not to allow distractions shift their views and values in life. ” In my own case, I must sincerely appreciate my brother, Hon. Michael Omogbehin Negwo, who took me to Lagos in 1988 after I had completed my secondary school education and ever since I had not looked back in the pursuit of my dreams in life. So, I want our ladies and young girls to understand the place of setting achievable goals and priorities for themselves, ” Princess Olowu stressed.
