– Steve Ovirih.

Prof. Dayo Faduyile, OON has described the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the creation of Ondo State as an auspicious one, signaling better days ahead.

It will be recalled that on this day in 1976, Ondo State was created and it has continued to wax stronger over the decades.

In his official statement to mark the epochal anniversary, the immediate past Special Adviser on Health to Ondo State Governor said the state has passed through different phases in the course of her growth , saluting the Founding fathers whose lofty dream for Ondo State has been to evolve a State that is rich in potential that both indigenes and residents will be proud of.

Prof. Faduyile, who personally endorsed the anniversary statement said God has blessed Ondo State beyond measures both in natural resources and human resources, adding that Ondo State has crude oil in adequate quantity beneath its coastal soil and even beyond that the State boasts of quality silica that is capable of boosting the state’s commonwealth.

The former National President, Nigeria Medical Association( NMA) , an Officer Order of The Niger, noted that from the First Republic, Ondo State has been blessed with God fearing Democrats as Governor of the State from Late Chief Adekunle Ajasin, all through the Second Republic and to the present time.

The Forensic expert and Professor of Pathology noted with solemnity that the death of Late Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu on the 27th December, 2023, blighted and disrupted the political history of the State, adding however that Governor Akeredolu left behind a legacy of impeccable goodwill and governance that was rich in economic growth and sustainable security system across the Sunshine state.

Prof. Faduyile while congratulating Ondo State Government, the good people of the state and residents, he charged them to continue to pray for the progress of the state, while stressing that more prayer for peace is required as the state approaches another round of Gubernatorial electoral process.
