Gov Radda strengthens ties with Niger Republic, attends Kwado’s turbaning

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has visited Damagaram, Niger Republic, to attend the wedding and turbaning ceremony of Alhaji Idi Kwado, a prominent Katsina-born business mogul, as the new Talban Damagaram.
According to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, upon arrival, Governor Radda received a warm reception from Colonel Yousuf Labo, Governor of Damagaram State, and other key officials.
The statement disclosed that during a courtesy visit to the Sultan of Damagaram, Abubakar Oumarou Sanda, the Sultan praised Governor Radda’s exemplary leadership, stating, “We watch and read about your achievements in Katsina. May Allah bless you and strengthen you.”
Governor Radda emphasized the historical ties between Katsina and Niger Republic, expressing optimism that the dual ceremonies would further solidify their relationship.
At a reception held at the Government Lodge, Governor Radda appreciated the warm hospitality extended by the government and people of Damagaram. Colonel Yousuf welcomed Governor Radda, commending him for prioritizing the visit and expressing his desire to reciprocate with a future visit to Katsina.
Governor Radda was accompanied by a delegation including the Chief of Staff, Lamidon Katsina, and other government officials.
