Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has challenged the common portrayal of all state governors as corrupt. In a recent interview, he argued that theft of public funds is a broader national issue, not limited to those in his office.

Radda questioned the focus on governors, pointing out that many individuals who have never held such high positions have also been caught stealing large amounts. He suggested some critics lack the moral standing to make sweeping accusations.

He emphasized the seriousness of leadership, stating officials are accountable both to the public and to God. The governor stressed that the true measure of governance is whether money directly improves citizens’ lives.

On security, Radda called for unity, stating that lasting peace requires combined efforts from both the government and ordinary Nigerians. He insisted collaboration is the only path forward.

The governor’s remarks push back against a widespread narrative, aiming to shift the debate on corruption to include all levels of society. His comments highlight the ongoing national struggle over accountability and public trust.
