Aiyedatiwa drums support for Faduyile on Ondo South by-election

Ondo State Governor, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has charged the people of Ondo South to come out in their large numbers to vote for Prof. Dayo Faduyile next week Saturday in the Ondo South Senatorial by-election. The Governor made this call on Saturday at Irele, headquarters of Irele Local Govt during the presentation of instrument of Office to the new Olofun of Irele, Oba Samuel Omopariola Odimayo.
At the event which had in attendance prominent monarchs across Ondo South, top government functionaries, chiefs and good people of Irele, Gov. Aiyedatiwa having congratulated Oba Odimayo, charging him to be a monarch for all, said on Saturday, June 20th, Ondo South will be going to the poll to elect a new Senator to complete the term of Amb. Jimoh Ibrahim.
“The Senate seat was occupied by Amb. Jimoh Ibrahim, a big shoe the seat is, so we have to look for another person who is eminently qualified and capable to occupy the seat.So, APC is sending to the Senate a Professor and a Prince of the Palace of Abodi of Ikale, Prof. Adedayo Francis Faduyile.
“Royal fathers from Ondo South, Prof. Faduyile is your son, so I am presenting him to you and charging you to give him the same support you gave me when I came to seek your support for the Governorship bid,” Gov. Aiyedatiwa stated.
The Governor added that from time immemorial, the bulk votes from Okitipupa Division always produce Senator, once the bulk votes of Ilaje and Okitipupa is factored into the equation, the bulk votes of Irele and Ese-Odo too, that is the bloc vote of the old Okitipupa Division, noting that Odigbo, Ile Oluji-Oke Igbo votes are now also added to the vote strength of the district.
“I believe that our revered monarchs will work together in support of Omo Oba Dayo Faduyile and they will not disappoint one of their own, Oba Abodi Of Ikale, His Imperial Majesty, Oba George Faduyile. I implore them to give directive to their subjects on where our party, APC is going on June 20th; we have decided to send a Professor to the Senate to continue the good work already started by our Senator now Ambassador so that the term will be completed on a sound note, ” Gov. Aiyedatiwa enthused.
