Amotekun has come to stay in Ondo – Gov. Akeredolu.

Ondo State Governor , Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has noted with emphasis that the Southwest Security Network codenamed ” Amotekun” is staying for good as a state owned security outfit.

The Governor gave this indication during a media Chat in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Governor Akeredolu however called on security agencies to have a stable inter- agency cohesion so that they can collectively stamp out crime in the land, noting that since its inception the Amotekun corp had hit the ground running in Ondo State, helping to curb the tide of kidnapping particularly in the Akoko axis of Ondo State.

Governor Akeredolu who saluted the commitment of the Corp to their duty in Ondo State charged them not to overreach themselves and to stick to their rules of engagement.

He said the commitment of the personnel of the security network to stamping crime out of their areas of coverage in Ondo State has made people to feel secure having them work the beat of community policing within the nooks and crannies of Ondo State.
