Miyetti Allah negotiates release of 100 victims in Katsina.

– Steve Ovirih.

Governor Bello Masari of Katsina State has indicated his support for the effort of the Miyetti Allah Cattle breeders Association towards securing the release of kidnapped victims in Katsina State.

The Governor gave this indication when the cattle breeders association visited him at the State House where they briefed him on how they have been able to successfully ensure the release of at least one hundred victims who have been kidnapped in Katsina State.

Governor Masari promised to work towards a good working relationship with the association in his bid to rid the state of the ills of kidnapping by the insurgents and bandits whose activities have seized the state by the jugular in the past time.

Masari particularly saluted the efforts of Miyetti Allah on their prompt intervention and negotiation which resulted in the release of over 300 pupils of Kanakara Government College who were kidnapped late last year.

It will be recalled that a week after the kidnapping of the Kankara school boys, they were released and taken to the Katsina Government House for rehabilitation and reintegration into the society.

The Government has not denied the intervention efforts of the cattle breeders association, particularly in Katsina State.
