An Ondo South All Progressives Congress ( APC) stakeholder and the Deputy Director General of the Governor Akeredolu for second term Campaign Council, Prof. Adedayo Faduyile has described the Ondo Guber poll Tribunal ruling which affirmed Gov. Akeredolu’s victory in the October 10th, 2020 poll as a victory for the entire Democracy conscious people of Ondo State and an affirmation of the resounding success of the incumbent Ondo Governor at the polls .
On Tuesday, the 20th April, the Governorship election tribunal had sat in judgement relayed to the world via zoom in which the three man panel led by Justice Abdullah Abdulkadir had thrown away the petition of the PDP Candidate, Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) for lack of merit. The panel held that a clause in the petition was a constitutional matter that the Tribunal can not entertain and they declared that Gov. Akeredolu was validly elected as Ondo State Governor.
Prof. Faduyile in a media chat with thepolity.net said the Tribunal’s ruling has affirmed the fact that the Judiciary is the last hope and the bedrock of our nascent Democracy. He noted that Gov. Akeredolu’s victory at the poll was a confirmation of his contribution to the development of Ondo State in his first term and he has no doubt in his mind that more indexes of development will be recorded by the Governor in his budding second term in office.
Prof. Faduyile charged Governor Akeredolu to be magnanimous in victory by reaching out with a hand of fellowship to his learned silk colleague who lost the bid to be Governor in the 2020 poll.
On the expectations of the good people of Ondo State as the second term of Governor Akeredolu takes shape, the APC strongman and Professor of Clinical Pathology and Forensic Medicine said Gov. Akeredolu has come out with a development template tagged ” The REDEEMED Agenda,” noting that an all round economic growth awaits Ondo State as Gov. Akeredolu will open the Ondo State coastal Community to a proactive maritime business through the planned seaport coming very soon to Ondo South Senatorial District.
