Workers return to office after protest in Ondo

Ondo workers returned to their offices after joining the Organised Labour protest on Wednesday.

The peaceful protest began at the Alagbaka  NLC Secretariat and terminated at the Governor’s office also in Alagbaka.

Ondo NLC Chairman, Mr Victor Amoko, who backed removal of fuel subsidy said the effect was biting hard on the masses.

State Chairman of the TUC, Mr Clement Fatuase, urged the Federal Government to implement people-centred agreements reached with organised labour unions to avoid further crippling the economy.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who was represented by Mr Dare Aragbaye, the Special Adviser on Union Matters,  said he would convey the demands of unions to President Bola Tinubu.
