Abodi salutes NMA over free Medical surgery

The Abodi of Ikale Land, Oba George Babatunde Faduyile has expressed his pleasure and satisfaction over the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) special medical surgery outfit to Ikoya, the seat of the Abodi of Ikale Land. The royal father expressed his appreciation to the national and state NMA body at the Ikoya Civic center, venue of the official opening of the free Medical surgery outreach.
The Abodi of Ikale Land said the decision of the NMA to bring the outreach to his domain is a thoughtful one and a well thought out decision which the palace of Abodi and Ikoya sons and daughters are grateful to the NMA for. While giving his assurances that his subjects will take a good advantage of the medical mission to relate with the medical professionals on their health challenges, Oba George Faduyile called on the state government to kindly upgrade the clinic at Ikoya to the status of a modern hospital, stressing that as regards a standard health facility, the people of Ikoya are looking up to the state government for a face lift .
President, Nigeria Medical Association and a Prince of the Abodi stool, Dr Francis Dayo Faduyile in his reaction congratulated The Abodi, Oba George Faduyile for hosting the state and national body of the NMA. He appealed to his Ikoya kith and keen to kindly take advantage of the free Medical surgery, noting that nobody should give excuses for not making himself or herself available as the doctors are around because of the people, stressing that when good health is lost, all is lost.
Dr Faduyile equally congratulated The Abodi and Olori Grace Faduyile for bearing a son who has become the NMA President in their life time; he thanked his parents for the good upbringing, the discipline he inherited from them which has stand him in a good stead in his profession.
Dr Faduyile noted with delight that during his tenure as NMA President, the health system of the country has greatly improved and he and his colleagues have continued to campaign for quality healthcare system for all category of people in Nigeria. He said his Exco is planning on building the NMA house, which plan has been approved. Dr. Faduyile also thanked the state Executive, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu for his interest in the infrastructural growth of the sunshine state and his support for the development of the health sector in Ondo state.
Dr Emoruwa who stood in for the Commissioner of Health, while appraising the contribution of the state government in the health sector said Ondo state government is doing all things possible to prioritize the health matters of the people of the state . Emoruwa said beside the prompt establishment of the Unimed Teaching Hospital, medical facilities of high standard have not only been provided at the Teaching Hospital, but also in other hospitals across Ondo state.
The Caretaker Chair of Okitipupa Local government, Prince Abayomi Adesanya thanked the NMA for bringing the 2019 free Medical surgery to his local government council; he particularly congratulated Dr. Faduyile for making the local govt council and Ikoya proud, praying God to continue to keep him in good health . Adesanya charged the people of Ikale to cooperate with the team of the medical professionals and appealed to them to take advantage of the Free surgery mission.
Liha of Ikoya expressed appreciation for the kind gesture of the medical doctors for deeming it fit to bring the free surgery to the grassroots people at Ikoya. He noted that Dr Faduyile made his people proud with his stride at Lagos NMA and he is equally making his people proud with his exploits as the NMA President, assuring that people of Ikoya and suburb environment shall take good advantage of the free surgery of the doctors.
The free Medical surgery is a weeklong outreach to mark this year’s physician week by the NMA.
Among the dignitaries at the event were Omoba Abayomi Adesanya, caretaker chairman, Okitipupa Local government council; Dr Dayo Faduyile, NMA President, Dr. Kenneth Migen Tijo, VP1, NMA; Dr. Ofem Enang, VP2, NMA, Dr.Olumuyiwa Odusote, Secretary General, NMA and Dr. Ben Umezurike, Deputy Secretary General.
Others are Dr Ayuwaja Nayagawa, National Treasurer, NMA; Dr Abdulgafar Jimoh, National Financial Secretary and Dr Obitade Obimakinde , National Publicity secretary, NMA.
