Following the pronouncement of a federal high court sitting in Akure, which nullified the April 16th, 2016 Local Government election in Ondo state, the Ondo state Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu has sacked all the allegedly elected Chairmen of Council and their councilors across the 18 local government areas of Ondo state.
Their sack which took immediate effect made the offices of Local government Chairmen in the local government areas vacant. The state Governor has however filled the vacuum created by the sack of the Council Chairmen with new caretaker Chairmen whose tenure had started with immediate effect.
The newly appointed caretaker Chairmen are: Mr. Aworetan Fayowole(Ilaje), Prince Gbadebo Odilamayo (Irele), Mrs. morenike Alaka (Okitipupa), Prince George Adenikinju (Odigbo), Mr. Dayo Akinsuroju (Ileoluji/Oke igbo) and Bekewe Olowu (Ese Odo).
Others are Ebenezer Adesulie (Ondo west), Rafiu Akinkuolie (Ondo East), Biyi Ayinnuola(Idanre), Mrs. Atere Margaret (Akure south), Mr Segun Oluyede(Akure NorthNorth, Dipo Ajibola (Ifedore), Ganiu Omoluka (Owo) and Agboola Ajike(Ose)…
Also in the list are Mr Adeyemi Akinniyi(Akoko South! East), Augustin Olorun tomgbe (Akoko south/west), Rafiu Eni ayewu (Akoko North /East) and Arch. moradeyo Ajayi (Akoko North /west).
According to a statement, by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Segun Ajiboye, the appointment takes effect immediately.
Meanwhile, the acting Council Chairmen’s appointment takes immediate effect. .
