He noted that giving scholarships to students willing to be educated but are financially handicapped is one philosophy he embraced as a memorial to his own growing up years in Ikale Land as a student who never had it easy.
Hear him: ” beyond the story of the launch of Bamidele Omosehin Foundation late last year 2020, today we are also witnessing now the maiden edition of West African Senior School Certificate Examination Free Registration for Ikale students Scheme in which the Foundation through the sole efforts of the Chairman of the Foundation is paying the registration fee of many indigent Ikale students who, only God knows, might have lost the opportunity to enroll for their final examination this year.
” This laudable gesture was taken to a teary level two days ago when a mother cried to the office of the Foundation at Okitipupa with emotion laden voice that her two children did not make the final list of the beneficiaries and that automatically translated to mean they might not be writing the final examination this year.
“Despite the fact that the final list was ready, provision was made for the two indigent students to be enrolled in the final list.”
Omosehin clarified that the Foundation does not receive any financial support or donations from any organization be it private or public and the fund available for the Foundation for this noble give – back to Ikale people is the sole efforts of the Chairman of Bamidele Omosehin Foundation.
