Covid 19 : Ondo records third index case

– Steve Ovirih.

Another index case of the novel coronavirus , making it the third in line, has been recorded in Ondo state. The index case is a serving youth corp member who is a medical doctor.

The government of Ondo state had earlier expressed surprise at the instance of the second index case who had traveled from Lagos to Akure, the state capital. The state government through its commissioner for information and orientation had expressed disappointment at the shoddiness of the police Manning the boundaries of Ondo state as the government noted that upon all the measures put in place people are still gaining entry into the state.

It will be recalled that the state government had to hurriedly cancel the order relaxing the lockdown for Easter celebration on Saturday because of the second index record.

The state commissioner for information and Orientation , Donald Ojogo in a release said the state government is on top of the situation, advising the good people of Ondo state to keep their calm and stay safe by staying indoors.
