Edo State authorities have arrested the founder of Rollo Life of Christ Brethren Ministry, Bishop Gideon Osazee. He faces allegations of sexually abusing two underage sisters who are members of his church.

The two victims are aged 13 and 17. Officials state that four other young women have now also come forward with similar accusations against the cleric.

The arrest followed days of surveillance by state officials. The Commissioner for Women Affairs, Eugene Abdullah, confirmed that other children linked to the church have reported sexual harassment by the suspect.

A representative from the Vivian Sexual Assault Referral Centre, Faith Edebor, said early findings from investigators support the victims’ accounts.

Bishop Osazee has denied abusing minors. However, he admitted to having what he called a consensual relationship with the 17-year-old sister.

The investigation is continuing as police gather more evidence and statements related to the case.
