Ekiti chef begins 120,-hour cook-a-thon to break Guinness records

A chef Damilola Adeparusi has begun 120-hour cooking marathon in Oye Local Government Area in Ekiti State.
This is coming weeks after chef Hilda Baci completed her cook-a-thon monitored by Guinness World Records in 100 hours.
Although authorities of the Guinness World Records are yet to confirm Hilda Baci’s record for long cooking hours, Chef Damilola’s latest task has set many tongues wagging, especially on social media.
Official enquires are still ongoing with respect to Hilda Baci’s confirmation.
As it stands, an Indian chef, Lata Tondon, holds the world’s longest cooking marathon and she completed the task in 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 secs in Rewa, India in 2019.
Chef Damilola became cynosure in a viral video after she completed 16 hours of the 120 hours earmarked for the cooking.
She’s being assisted by Akinola Joshua, and they will be cooking for five days.
She commenced her cooking on June 9 around 12:01am.
