– Steve Ovirih.

Prof. Francis Adedayo Faduyile,  OON,  Prince of Abodi,  the cradle of Ikaleland has described the presidential,  Senatorial and Representatives election held on Saturday,  February 25th,  2023 as a peacefully held democratic contest all over Nigeria and a credential to how committed Nigerians are to consolidating the fledgling Democracy.

Prof, Faduyile,  it will be recalled was the former President,  Nigeria Medical Association,  NMA and he presently serves as The Special Adviser on Health to Gov. Akeredolu.

While speaking with thepolity.net having cast his vote at his ikoya /oloto ward 6 unit 5 , LA pry school,  Ikoya on Saturday,  the Professor of Forensic Medicine and a staunch All Progressives Congress, APC stakeholder said the exercise was held under a calm atmosphere devoid of noise and rancor as voters came in, got accredited and voted without any traces of influence by anybody.

Faduyile commended the voters for the exhibition of the ‘ Omoluabi conduct ‘ which he said made the electorate at the polling unit see one another as their brother’s keeper,  noting that regardless of party affiliation , the major resolve was to have a credible poll and that was what was recorded at his unit.

Asked if  INEC has improved its election process as promised prior to the election,  Prof Dayo Faduyile said there has been commendable improvements in INEC electoral activities,  noting that the BVAS worked well, while the staff of the electoral body who arrived the polling units to time were receptive and committed to ensuring a successful outcome of the exercise.

He praised the electoral act as endorsed by President Muhammadu Buhari which had blocked all the offensive loopholes which had in the time past rubished the integrity of the election exercise in Nigeria.

Faduyile said by and large, the electorate will no doubt appreciate the APC government for making a seamless transition from one Democracy to another possible for the greater good of all Nigerians.
