Faduyile visits Akure south APC Leaders, Promises a turn around in the state economy

Ahead of the forthcoming primaries of the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) in Ondo state, a prominent candidate of the party and the most popular contender for the APC Governorship ticket, Prof. Francis Adedayo Faduyile has promised a turn around in the economy of the sunshine state .
Prof. Dayo Faduyile who met with the leaders of the party in Akure South at Swan Hotel along Futa/ Ilesa Express way expressed his disappointment over the failure of the present administration to revive major industries in the state that have gone moribund, noting that while Ondo state has the potential for greatness, drivers of government policy have failed the people of Ondo state in bringing this potentials to reality.
Faduyile assured the APC leaders in Akure South of his desire to help grow the economy of Ondo state, stressing that his government plans big for cash crops farmers across Ondo state. ” The major challenge of our cash crops farmers is that they are peasant farmers so they are reaped off by middlemen. When we come to government by the grace of God, we shall revive the farmers’ cooperative society and by so doing our cocoa, cola , cashew and other cash crop farmers will not be selling to middle men who have over the years been clearing the little gains of the farmers. Of course, the Cocoa house was built from the gains of the Cocoa cooperative society of the Westerner Region of yore, so we too can bring back this old glory to the door step of our farmers,” Faduyile said.
Prof. Faduyile noted that he longs to turn Ondo state to an industrial hub of reckoning in Africa but this can only be made possible if the leaders will collectively believe in this lofty dream with him. He said all it costs to revive NIROWI, OOPC, Oluwa Glass, Ifon Ceramics and other industries that have gone under is the will power of a Government that is passionate about boosting the economy of Ondo state. While disagreeing with the opinion bandied in some quarters that Ondo state is a civil servants’ state, Faduyile said if revived , these industries will shoot up Ondo state Internally Generated Revenue.
” I have come to you today my leaders in Akure South to consult with you and seek your support for my candidacy in the forthcoming Primaries of our great party, APC in Ondo state. I am very much aware that Akure has the largest voting strength and it has sophisticated people. Any candidate who has the massive vote support of Akure people have actually done well for himself. I want to assure you that I have all it takes to govern our dear sunshine state and I will run an inclusive government,” Prof. Faduyile maintained.
