Fayemi, Giadom’s plan to meet PMB failed

The Executive Governor of Ekiti State and Chairman Governors Forum of Nigeria (NGF) and the factional Chairman of APC, Mr. Victor Giadom were spotted earlier today at the Aso Villa, Abuja to confer with President Muhammadu Buhari over the lingering crisis in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the need to call a meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party.
However, the two APC stakeholders were unable to have access to the President as they were denied their desire to confer with the President by the Chief of Staff, Prof. Agboola Gambari.
Prior to their being denied access by Prof. Gambari, a security detail very close to the Presidency had sought to know wether they had official appointment with the President. It was gathered that the duo had dropped the name of a foremost leader of the party with the hope that with the name dropped, they would be able to access the tight security and be padded through to the Presidency but the plot backfired on them when the security details sought to cross check with the foremost party leader whose name they had dropped to gain unfettered access to Mr. President. The security details miffed with their trick had barred them , turning them over to the Chief of staff who blatantly denied them access to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Mr. Victor Giadom, it will be recalled was the APC chieftain from Cross River who sprung up a court ex parte order granted in March as his leverage to lay claim to the Chairmanship of the party after the appeal court ruling that upheld the temporary suspension of party Chairman , Comrade Adams Oshiomole.
Giadom working with a handful of APC Governors have been making frantic efforts to ensure the dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC) of APC ahead of the national convention which brought them to office.
A Federal high court ruling in Portharcourt had ruled that Giadom should not be recognized as an executive member of the APC.
With the inability of Gov. Fayemi and Mr. Giadom to secure the President’s nod for the conveying of the NEC meeting , a fatal blow has been dealt the grand plan to hold the NEC meeting of APC billed for tomorrow.
