Tamarauemi

The Federal Competition and Consumer and Protection Commission (FCCPC) on Monday stormed the Abuja-based Chinese supermarket at the China General Chamber of Commerce.

On Sunday, there was outrage from Nigerians over a discriminatory policy implemented by the Chinese Supermarket.

It was gathered that the management of the supermarket gave a directive barring Nigerians from entering and buying items from the beginning of 2024 without a reason.

The supermarket which is along Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Road in Abuja, is known as a destination for Chinese cuisine and beverages.

The policy restricted entry exclusively to Chinese citizens and barred Nigerians from entering.

The facility manager of the complex, Shaibu Sanusi, confirmed that Nigerians outside the complex is only accessible to Nigerians who work within the complex.
