The maiden Vice-Chancellor , Federal University of Education , Kontagora ( FUEK) , Prof. Faruk Rashid Haruna has been presented his appointment letter.
At a special presentation ceremony in Abuja on Tuesday, November 4th, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, FUEK, Prof. Francis Adedayo Faduyile, OON, unveiled the first Vice -Chancellor of the University , presenting him his appointment letter.
It will be recalled that the University’s Governing Council at its session held on the 25th October, 2025, appointed Prof. Faruk Rashid Haruna as the Vice Chancellor of the University. His appointment followed a thorough selection process which involved the consideration of other contenders, all of them Professors from different Universities.
Prof. Faduyile congratulated the newly appointed Vice Chancellor for his success during the selection process, charging him to bring his administrative acumen to bear on the new university.
Prof. Faduyile, equally the first Pro- Chancellor and Chairman of Council , Federal University of Education, Kontagora was until his appointment by Federal Government the Chairman of Chairmen, Council of Chairmen of Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria.
