Pandemonium broke out on Thursday in the Ada area of Boripe Local Government, Osun State, as unknown gunmen allegedly killed a 42-year-old chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Agboola.

It was learnt that the gunmen numbering about four killed Agboola at his wife’s shop located in the Pako area of Ada.

A witness said: “Dele is a chieftain of PDP till his death. He was shot while eating at his wife’s shop in the Pako area of Ada around 8 pm on Thursday. The identity of the killers is yet to be unraveled at press time. However the family members prevented us from taking the remains of the deceased to the hospital for autopsy test.”

The spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mrs. Kehinde Adeleke confirmed the incident.

“Mr. Agboola has been buried around 8:30 am on Friday by his family members,” she said.
