I Never expressed apprehension over Atiku, PDP’s Petition- PM

President Muhammadu Buhari, in his reaction to his victory at the Presidential Elections Petition Tribunal (PEPT), has said he was not in anyway surprised that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s Petitions fell flat and got dismissed, noting that he knew all the while that PDP and its presidential candidate in the February 23rd election were merely chasing shadows.

President Buhari maintained that the Tribunal expressed the obvious and has also strengthened the faith of Nigerians in the integrity of the nation’s judicial system, noting that our jurisprudence on election matter has been adequately enriched by the ruling of the Tribunal.

The President said he was not surprised and did not allow the proceedings at the tribunal distract him from carrying out the enormous responsibility of government which the mandate he got at the general election placed on his shoulder.
