JAMB postpones UTME, DE Registration.

– Dayo Awotula.

Joint Admission and Matriculation Board ( JAMB) has announced a shift in the time table of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination ( UTME) earlier billed to start on 5th of June through 19th June, 2021.

JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede broke this news to the press over the weekend in Abuja after consultation with stakeholders in the sector.

Prof. Oloyede said over six hundred thousand candidates have issues with the online registration process for the University admission examination , stressing that some of the candidates are encountering challenges with the National Identification Number ( NIN) registration. He said the Board resolved that there was need to extend the examination dates to allow the candidates enough time to address and resolve these obvious challenges to the registration process.

Oloyede indicated that the examination will now begin on the 19th of June.
