JAMB raises 2024 UTME registration fee

The registration cost for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for 2024 has been raised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

According to an official release, the revised registration costs are as follows: The cost of registering for the UTME is N7,700 if a mock exam is included, and N6,200) if it is not.

Prior to the most recent change, the JAMB application form cost N5,700 if it did not include a practice exam, and N6,700 if it did.

The board also announced that foreign candidates would now be able to obtain application materials for $30.

JAMB also disclosed details on the registration period for the sale of Direct Entry application documents in 2024 in addition to changes to UTME registration.

“This is to notify all potential 2024 UTME/DE candidates that the sale of application materials will begin on Monday, January 15, 2024, and that profile creation for registration has officially begun,” the statement said.

The sale of Direct Entry application documents is set to begin on February 28, 2024 and end on March 28, 2024.

JAMB has also verified that the continuous procedure of generating registration profile codes is in progress. Detailed guidelines on how to generate profile codes will be disseminated at a later date, leading up to the initiation of registration on January 15, 2024.
