Landlord arrested for accommodating gunmen.

– Tamarauemi Ebimini

The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, says a landlord has been arrested for accommodating in his house the gunmen that perpetrated the infamous church attack in Owo.

Recall that gunmen attacked St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo on June 5, killing 40.

Akeredolu made the disclosure on Tuesday when the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) visited him, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde.

The Ondo governor also confirmed that five of the gunmen behind the attack have been arrested.

He noted that government did not spare a moment in trailing the terrorists since the horrendous attacks on innocent worshipers at the St Francis Catholic Church, Owaluwa, Owo.

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Lucky Irabor had earlier on Tuesday disclosed the arrest of the suspects, noting that they would be charged to court at the conclusion of investigations.
